Vallée tries to explicate Bill 62
Justice minister Stéphanie Vallée is trying to calm people down about Bill 62, saying the uncovering of the face is for identification. She also fudges the issue with mention of bandanas and hoods that also hide the face. Who does that, though, except during some demonstrations?
The identification thing might make sense in the context of transit if we all had ID photos on our Opus cards, but standard adult passes don’t carry photos. Does Vallée even know that?
