Once again, doing research for the calendar, I found this Le Devoir piece from April 2014 in which the city brags it’s planting 375 trees on St Helen’s Island for Earth Day. Not quite as many as it cut down to build the new amphitheatre for Evenko, by all reports.
Other stories from the past I dunno how they turned out:
Lots of stuff in 2014 about the city experimenting with letting bars stay open till 6 a.m. – did that happen? Did that stop happening? I haven’t seen anything about it in awhile.
What happened to the supposed new park up on Mount Royal? I’m not even sure where it was supposed to be, but I gather I may never have seen it because it’s only accessible via UdeM? Anyone clued in?
