CBC and its excursions into compassion

CBC likes to do stories from time to time showing how compassionate it is, but this Sunday’s instalment seems to me a bit off-base. Yes, it’s sad that this woman’s husband got killed in an accident and that it was ill-timed for her application for Canadian citizenship, but the woman will be sent home to Belgium, not some war-torn or famine-plagued hellhole.
