The recent TVA report on the condition of some of the prefab parts of the new bridge is sowing doubts whether the promised deadline of a year from now can be met.
Update: the federal infrastructure minister is getting involved in the question whether worker safety has been compromised by the pressure to complete the bridge within the deadline. Amarjeet Sohi is said to be concerned about injuries on the site and is going to discuss the matter with the main construction union.
