Heritage warns of building at risk

Heritage Montreal is warning about the condition of the Craig pumping station, that odd little building under the Jacques-Cartier. As shown above (in a photo I took about ten years ago) the building dates from 1887 and is quite ornate close up, although suffering from neglect.

(Also, a view of the original city coat of arms, which included a beaver in one of the quarters. Later the beaver was swapped out in favour of the fleur-de-lys.)
