The pink line, yes or no?

Radio-Canada claims Quebec is making a priority of the pink line, because it mentions creation of a new metro line in a planning document. But MNA Rita de Santis says she’s doubtful this is true.

I strongly doubt we’ll ever see the line in the precise form proposed by Projet, but a route like this will have to be considered within the next few decades as working people are forced further and further from the city centre by rising rents. When you live in Ahuntsic or Montreal North and have to get downtown or further – to Sud-Ouest or beyond – to work, you need the pink line.

My main concern about it is that talk of the imaginary pink line risks undermining the extension of the blue line, which is needed just as badly and has been promised for far longer.
