City to get shelter for alcoholics

The city’s finally getting a shelter for alcoholics where they won’t have to sober up first. A “wet shelter” gives measured doses of booze to people whose whole lives are built around staying constantly intoxicated and for whom it would be dangerous or impossible to stop. A Toronto wet shelter gives its residents one glass of wine per hour.
