City sports fields are in bad shape

An extensive new report from the city says its sports fields are in poor shape and deteriorating. Soccer’s too popular and is wearing down the existing surfaces, although after Coderre’s surge of enthusiasm there are enough baseball diamonds to go around. As it often is, the problem is poor maintenance.
