Pitbull attack reopens debate
Radio-Canada says that a recent attack by a pitbull which left a Cartierville woman with multiple injuries has reopened the debate about the breed. The writer notes that if the Plante administration hadn’t cancelled the requirement that such dogs wear muzzles in public, this attack would have been less likely (although is the kind of person who has an uncontrolled pitbull likely to have obeyed that law, especially given that the breed is not well delimited?). Plante herself blames the owner, who grabbed his dog and fled the scene.
