Curious that I mentioned the shooting of Kimveer Gill this morning, and now I see that Denis Côté, the police sharpshooter who winged Gill at Dawson and ended his rampage, is retiring from the force.
It’s also mentioned here that it was Côté at the wheel of the police car that knocked Alain Magloire down before another officer’s bullet killed him. I don’t recall that’s been mentioned before.
The CAQ wants to impose a Quebec values test on immigrants, and wants the federal government to comply by removing those who fail, to live in the outer darkness of other provinces.
I wonder how many people born right here in Montreal would fail such a test. The CAQ really is going for the triumph of the regions over the metropolis.

Update: The city is promising to resurface Curatteau Street, the road most at fault for causing these vibrations under the constant coming and going of transit trucks.

CTV is cautious and does not reveal the part of the poster with photos and a street address, and I understand why.
