Quality of life vs economic vitality, bis
The story about quality of life vs. economic vitality is being reported even more widely on Wednesday. I’ve been pondering what it even means. If we have good quality of life, this means the average person can have a decent life on an average salary. If it means we don’t have billionaires squeezing us dry, and we don’t have megalopolitan rental prices, we should rejoice. That is vitality! What is economic vitality, if not sustainable happiness for the greatest number, rather than soaring profits for a few oligarchs?
Update: TVA trumpets that Montreal is one of the poorest cities in North America, based on this report. They may be forgetting that North America also includes the Caribbean and Mexico…
