The state of the city’s bridges and tunnels is improving: in 2011 a report said fifty structures needed attention, whereas the current report names only eight. I love this bit: “Montréal suit de près l’état de ses infrastructures depuis l’effondrement d’un paralume sur l’autoroute Ville-Marie, en juillet 2011.” Up till then, though, it was la-di-da, apparently.
