CAQ would impose hard secularism law

If elected to power, the CAQ would impose a hardline secularism law, invoking the notwithstanding clause if necessary to override the Canadian charter of rights and freedoms.

The CAQ base is outside town in places where people have probably never seen a burqa or a shtreimel – maybe not even a hijab. This is xenophobia pure and simple. It’s not for the benefit of the poor little “oppressed” Muslim woman – it’s an attack on Montreal’s diverse, live-and-let-live balance.
