Overtime hours surging at city hall

City workers are doing a hell of a lot of overtime and are being paid handsomely too. As they should be, I hasten to add – but if the problem is Denis Coderre’s 2014 vow to cut down on city staffing numbers, it’s not a smart target to stick to if there’s actually enough work for more people. The city should hire if it needs the hands.
