Folks, I’ve noticed a bit too much ad-hominem lately and I don’t like seeing that here. I want this blog to welcome differing points of view and allow for disagreements, but not personal attacks. Disagree with a person’s opinions, but please don’t call his or her honesty or sanity into question.
Right now I’m facing a very busy time in my day job and I’ve caught that feverish head cold that’s going around and can’t afford to take any time off. At the moment I can’t keep one eye on the blog throughout the day as I sometimes do. So I’m trusting my readers to keep it civil.
Thank you.

Radio-Canada refines the statistic, and says 19 pedestrians have been hit by cars this year, of whom 14 have died. The number is sharply up over recent years. Cop says it’s phones, both in the hands of drivers and walkers, but surely the 80-year-old who got killed this week was not clutching an iphone?
