Mount Royal as an international skiing site?

Some people are cooking up an idea of using Mount Royal for an international ski competition. Besides the extensive damage that would be done to the mountain’s trees and ecosystem to create the ski station necessary for this, nearby parts of southern Quebec have mountains more suitable, and already developed for the purpose, like Tremblant. It’s a nutso idea.
