City plans to buy old Chinese hospital in Villeray

The city is preparing to buy the old Chinese hospital on St-Denis in Villeray and convert it to social housing. Article recalls the controversy in 2010 when it was floated to turn the building into a temporary home for Inuit visiting the city for medical reasons, a plan shot down by then borough mayor Anie Samson. But now it will be turned to the common good after all.
