Radio-Canada has brief text and video on the remaking of the area around the old Maison Radio-Canada where, once again, a developer has been allowed to call the shots.

Speaking of developer calling the shots, I’m relaying this info: there will be a ‘forum citoyen’ about development alternatives for the 15/40 sector August 24th. They ‘re still planning it (and looking for a venue). https://www.facebook.com/events/645613649245701/ (FB? yes, sorry… and I don’t know if it will be french only).

My pipe dream is to have the highway submerged, and covered, all the way to Lormier.

A man was stabbed overnight at Crescent and de Maisonneuve, but not killed.

The middle weekend of the construction holiday is a news desert. CBC is recycling tweets of minimally interesting stories from last week, CTV is putting dull American clickbait stories in its Montreal newsfeed on Facebook.

Enjoy the peace, folks. I’ve been reading world news and fuck but we have it good here – for now.
