Radio-Canada visits the three food halls for a comparison, and CTV visits Le Cathcart, the most recent one to open. Eater had been there a week before.

Le Cathcart’s really booming right off the bat. I have to figure out when the quiet hours are so I can get my pick of the comfy seating.

I tried to go but there was a huge line. Hopefully soon.

The novelty will wear off eventually.

Went to TimeOut this weekend. Often, I find it very difficult to make a choice because there are no good choices. But this time, the difficulty came from having so many good choices… so I knew I could choose because I wanted to come back to try some of the other places. Definitely some nice choices on the menus. The only down side is… how difficult it is to get a glass of just plain water.

TimeOut does have great options. I liked the vibe at le Central (and love the doughnut place right upfront). Le Cathcart seems to have great seating and a beautiful layout. The architects did a great job there. What I like about the food halls is that even if everyone is in the mood for something different, it’s easy to find something you like. I have friends who are vegetarian, vegan, omnivores, or love specific cuisines. It’s a great way to satisfy everyone.
