Quebec tourism: situations vary
Vieux-Québec is empty of tourists and its many businesses that rely on tourism are feeling a chill, while in the Gaspé there are too many tourists and not enough of them wearing masks.
Incidentally, if someone shows you a “medical exception card” saying they can’t wear a mask, it’s fake. I saw these reported in the U.S. a couple of weeks back and should have expected them to crop up here. Since store owners are on their own responsibility to make their customers mask, they should be very aware of bullshit like this.

Here’s hoping Karma will provide these bullshitters with a dentist or surgeon that will present this card to them before surgery

There is no such thing as an exemption certificate in Quebec…. so they can just freely turn them away at the door. If you can’t wear a mask, you can wear a face shield. But the worst part is that this idiots wrote the phone number for the Canadian Human Rights Commission on the fake form.
Frankly, the first time it comes up, they should just call the cops and report the person for fraud. I’m sure these forms will quickly disappear after a few people get a fine for fraudulent forms and not wearing the mask. Wonder how many will disappear as soon as you pick up the phone to call the cops on them. They are a POX on society.
