25 shots were fired in the Old Port
QMI says 25 shots were fired overnight Saturday in that incident in the Old Port, injuring five people including one of the police coming to investigate a noise complaint. La Presse says it was 31 shots. The presumed gunman, known to police, was shot in return, but so were three other people. A police spokesman says it was very lucky nobody got killed, and both these pieces say Old Montreal is heating up.
Responding to comments below: nothing in either of these pieces suggests the incident was connected to the anti-mask march earlier on Saturday.
