Alfonso Gagliano, MP and winemaker

Alfonso Gagliano, MP from 1984 to 2002 in St-Léonard, has died at 78. Gagliano’s political career was snuffed out by the sponsorship scandal, then his appointment as an ambassador was squelched as well. After that he went into winemaking in the Eastern Townships.
