An Old Montreal restaurant was firebombed early Tuesday but not too much damage was done.

I’m not sure there is. It’s more that a whole class of media stories has been squelched by the pandemic – a ton of cultural stories have been omitted from the media for a year and a half. Basically we’re left with a skeleton of:
1. Covid
2. Sports
3. Politics
4. Acts of violence
Also, we live in such a generally peaceful city that the occasional outbreak stands out by its contrast with the background.
