A lab tech at the Jewish General has been told to remove social media posts equating François Legault with Hitler and displaying swastikas. She’s been widely condemned, but the item doesn’t indicate whether or not this means she can or will be fired.

I feel like we’re heading towards a big little problem with the hardcore anti-vax people. At this point, there’s still 23% of Quebecers between the ages of 18 and 34 who haven’t had their first vaccine or made an appointment for it and they’ve had ample oppourtunity, so they’re probably not just hesitant about it, but convinced otherwise. I don’t know how they can be reached.

I would bet that at least half of them don’t even know there is a passport requirement.

I know people who were that age and missed 9-11.

Seeing his opportunity, Denis Coderre is now talking law and order. The Journal has even given him a soapbox.

Ted Rutland on Twitter: “According to Denis Coderre’s text in JdeM today, recent shootings are caused by the SPVM dissolving a violent crime unit in 2019. So now he’s taking on SPVM director Sylvain Caron too, and implicitly supporting ‘his’ director Philippe Pichet, one of the worst chiefs we’ve had. If the media and his opponents are sharp, they’ll destroy him on this. Will he remove Caron if elected? Was Pichet better? Does he defend cutting the street gang unit, which occurred on his and Pichet’s watch? (I think he *should* defend that decision, but he can’t.)”

Such a sadly effective political technique.

Shots were fired at a triplex in St-Léonard early Friday, but nobody got hurt.

Police arrested a man driving a stolen car after a chase on the 40. Does a stolen car justify putting everyone else on that highway in peril?

Not at all. If you have the plate, you can call that in and have other police cars get there. And it’s insured.

          Waste of resources.
