Language law “threatens video game industry”
CBC looks into how the new language law – still being called Bill 96 – may damage the video game industry as skilled people choose to move away or not come here at all. But the journalist only looks at the six‑month rule, and not at the various rules enforcing the internal operation of businesses in French only, which I would have thought even more relevant.
The government response, that all sectors must contribute to the effort, is inevitable. We all must suffer a bit to preserve French – that isn’t news.
