Woman dies after 7-hour wait for ambulance
A 91-year-old woman died on the weekend after waiting seven hours for an ambulance after a fall. Urgences-Santé is short-staffed right now and workers are also putting on the limited pressure tactics they’re allowed.

The unions are telling their members to take their lunch breaks – as a pressure tactic – and they’re the bad guys? The government needs to get bent.

The government will blame absolutely anyone else. They pay healthcare employees too little, work them too hard, and refuse to take COVID-related absences seriously enough to take real measures to reduce contagion (population-wide PCR, contact tracing, and mandatory sick pay). Having exhausted, hungry paramedics responding to emergencies is in no one’s interest.
