Curious that Metro has a dry and factual account of how the police Eclipse squad works after recent accounts of their activities have included leading a pointless raid on an outdoor party by Grenadian Montrealers, and possibly also participating in breaking into the wrong flat and traumatizing a sleeping family.

Sounds a lot like the Baltmore Gun Trace Task Force, which is the subject of the dramatized (but hardly fictional) recent mini-series, We Own This City, created by George Pelecanos and David Simon, who did The Wire. Strongly recommended.
Hard to tell whether the Eclipse squad is more interested in PR or bumbling their way through their work.

Sounds a lot like we need to make them all sit down and go through a sensitivity course. Not because they need it, but because it’s likely the WORST punishment that we could give them. And when they are finished with it… put them through it again and again and again, until it’s drilled through their heads.
