Deal with GPs ends, causing trouble at ERs

An arrangement called GAP, Guichet d’accès à la première ligne, between Quebec and its family doctors, ended on the first of this month, meaning patients with relatively minor problems are once again filling up emergency wards. Negotiations may reinstate this useful system but not yet, because discussions with the GPs are not going well.
