I thought it seemed oddly written and then, behold, at the bottom: “Cet article a été produit par l’intelligence artificielle et édité par un journaliste.” I wish they put that disclaimer at the top.

Maybe. As far as I can make out, the entire site is updated by one man, Olivier Robichaud, with assistance from AI. But here’s the thing: Robichaud is making efforts to cover some local news stories, borough level, that nobody else does. I don’t know how he’s doing it, but AI or not, it’s a valuable effort.
