City adopts 2024 budget

The city adopted its 2024 budget on Monday, a $7‑billion monster imposing an average 4.9% tax increase on property.

The mayor was not present, taking it easy since her collapse last week at a press conference.

Lots of aimless carping from Ensemble in the piece, leaving me as always with the question, what could they have done differently, given present conditions? And the answer – not very much.
