Jacobin covers Amazon’s Quebec exit. A new wave of layoffs is bringing the total of lost jobs up over 4,500.
I’ve found a Made in Canada site which may be useful.

I can’t say I found that Made in Canada site very useful. It’s just a bunch of lists, with no links.

Various lists are floating around, some of which are followed by debunkings. It can be hard to discern which companies are actually Canadian. And then some Canadians were already boycotting Galen Weston’s stores, and so on.

I’m considering getting a Lufa subscription now for fresh veggies.

Uatu, I’ve sent you a Lufa invite. If you use it, we’ll both get $20 off.

I’ve been using Lufa for a few years and for most veg they’re consistently better than any stores, even local – but WAY better than IGA or Provigo. Their fish & chicken is quite good, too. They also have a good selection of packaged goods. It won’t replace your entire grocery but it’s a good start.
Read the suppliers list carefully though, some of their produce (like lemons) come from the US, if that’s a concern.

Thanx Kate!

I suspect Lufa is going to get another spike in membership like they did early-pandemic.

I’ll send an invite to anyone who likes.
