French: Two businesses fined
Two city businesses were fined $1500 each for having Facebook pages in English, although the wording in this piece is not clear whether it’s because they’re only in English, or that they’re in English at all.
(Shouldn’t the Journal be aware that the old École des beaux-arts building is no longer the HQ of the OQLF?)

To be fair, one of the company’s, Grillado’s, has their website entirely in English:
https://grillados.ca/
For a company with 40% of their current locations in Quebec, this is not normal.
I could not find any information about the other company, Commandité Panache inc..

It seems like Commandité Panache uses the name Panache Ventures publicly. French website here and offensive English-only LinkedIn posts here.

I heard a story of two Maritimers who started a floral business here where their only online presence was an Instagram account, and they were being investigated for English-only posts.
And Kate, if only the Journal read this blog they’d have known (and have other things to complain about!).
