A man was pulled out of the river off Lasalle, Friday afternoon, and found to have a pulse. What happened, and whether he’ll recover, are not reported.
TVA also reports that one of the Saute-Moutons boats was overturned Friday, but I’m puzzled by the photo (showing the Lachine Canal) and the description of the boats as “une activité montréalaise qui consiste à descendre les rapides du canal Lachine” because the rapids are not in the canal, but in the river. In fact, the canal was created so that boats could avoid the rapids.

Our education system can only do so much. (It appears the photo has been changed.)

Yes, they changed the photo – it was originally a view of the canal with its very non‑rapidy waters.
