Less city money for road repair

The recent city budget allots less money for road repair while the mayor does a PR stunt accompanying a pothole crew in Hochelaga‑Maisonneuve. Potholes are big news at the moment.

Why reduce road repair money? Along with bike paths, one of the sore points toward the end of Projet’s administration, and mentioned often during the election campaign, was the prevalence of road repairs and cones. I guess one way of reducing the number of road construction sites is to reduce the budget.
