New Quebec electoral map becomes official

The new Quebec electoral map has been made official, in which Montreal loses a riding following boundary readjustment. Quebec tried to block this change, but the Supreme Court has not yet indicated whether they will hear the case.

This isn’t new news. We had a discussion last month in which H. John kindly explained why this isn’t a matter in which Quebec can invoke the notwithstanding clause.
