Gun violence: City’s on its own now

Public security minister François Bonnardel told Radio‑Canada this week that Quebec has given Montreal all the help it needs to control armed violence on its own and now he wants to see results. Get the partisan dig: “Il n’y a aucun gouvernement qui en a fait autant pour soutenir le SPVM.”

(Item says two young men have been shot dead in the last two weeks in Montreal. I saw this one on March 20 but all five other homicides so far this year have been stabbings. Did I miss something?)
