Mother in toddler case to remain behind bars
The mother of the toddler who was lost and found earlier this week has been charged with child abandonment and will be kept locked up for two weeks at least till a bail hearing in July. Her lawyer says she’s suffering distress and needs help.
The names of the woman and her daughter are now under a publication ban.

I’ve noticed the child’s images being blurred in media now, not like they were splashed across the papers already.

It’s useful because the stuff that is easy to access won’t have her name everywhere, so her friends won’t be able to just google her and find it in the future.
