We have to cope with such a wide range of temperatures – from -20° to 35°, which asks a lot of our wardrobes, our infrastructures and our metabolisms. Doubt that applies to Iran or India.

India has high mountains, deserts, and rain forests – there are a wide range of temperatures & climates to be found from sub-tropical to sub-arctic, and many climate regions. The Kashmir valley for instance, has a range of temperatures & conditions not unlike our own.
