Maison Lacroix: how not to preserve a house
Radio-Canada tells how, when the Faubourg à m’lasse was demolished in 1963, a very old building – in local terms – was discovered in a courtyard hidden from the street. A tiny farmhouse dating back to 1690, it was in an inconvenient location, so it was taken down and reconstructed stone by stone in Carignan – where it has crumbled from neglect since that time. Oopsy.

I was really confused for a minute. I thought they were renaming the Maison Radio-Canada after its former president, also named Hubert Lacroix.
