That CBC article had everything but the one thing I was wondering about – where in the sky will the sun be tomorrow during eclipse. Does anyone know?

Look to see where it is right now and that’s about right.

I also noticed the lack of info on that point, Joey. The sun will be quite high but tending toward what we Montrealers call the “south” side. Anyone looking over the St Lawrence from Montreal island will be in the right direction. The Mount Royal lookout – the one that looks out over downtown – would be ideal, but I expect it will be packed.

It’ll be behind the moon and will be hard to see!

Joey, I found this at timeanddate.com – hover over the sun icon, move it to the time you want which is displayed under it on the left. You’ll get the altitude of the sun, and the degree of and the suns’s direction in the sky. Pretty much SW for the duration of the eclipse. https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/canada/montreal
