Yeah, agree with him or not, nice to see someone stand for what he believes in, despite serious consequences. A breath of fresh air versus mere social media virtue signaling.
Speaking of NDP, see this quote?: “Mark Carney is proving once again that he is no friend to workers or labour, and would rather reward his corporate buddies than pay flight attendants who work tirelessly on their feet all day”. Oh wait, that was the Conservatives! Interesting times.

Let’s hope this is a turning point for labour in Canada and for the Liberals to get enough popular pressure to get them to push back ever so slightly against their corporate masters.
Highly unlikely, I know, but a guy can dream.

All the more reason for AC to come to a meaningful agreement with CUPE. Entry level flight attendants are making below minimum wage.
I saw this one on Reuter’s this morning:
Air Canada CEO amazed by union’s defiance of ruling to end strike
“(the CEO) urged the striking flight attendants to return to work, saying the strike was “illegal” and harming the airline’s customers and brand.”
Sounds like the action is both necessary and working as intended.

On BNN Bloomberg, CEO Michael Rousseau said the company didn’t make provisions for passengers with cancelled flights because it assumed government would enforce Section 107 to end the strike. He says that at about 2:30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMY7c0RVR4M
