Gym found to be hosting nazi group
The Tyee describes their investigation into a gym in St‑Léonard which has been the site of meetings of a white nationalist club, the Frontenac Active Club. Active clubs are groups of men training for violence. Apparently the gym did not know this group was meeting on their premises.

Sure easy to miss that. Not entirely convinced they had NO IDEA that one of their employees was regularly having after hours trainings in the gym, or that he never once displayed his views at work. They do seem to be responding well, having learned from the last Nazi gym controversy.

Is there an ongoing saga about a Totenkopf on at Gym du Plateau? There was a CTV article about cancelling the membership on 29/1. Then a pole studio related to that person’s GF. And Nautilus Plus (Lasalle and St-Hubert) also with WP members.

Yeah I think they probably didn’t want to know what group he was bringing, but they absolutely knew he was doing after hour trainings and they probably guessed who was coming but figured DADT would work (it never does).

So young men just gamble (sports, crypto, prediction markets) and work out? Ugh so boring. No wonder they embrace fascism… as Walter said in the Big Lebowski, say what you will about the tenets of national socialism, at least it was an ethos. What a lame way to live your life.

Not long ago, my brother told me about a woman in her mid-twenties who he worked with. She said she wished she was a lesbian so she wouldn’t have to date the men her age. Everyone she had tried to date were into either video games or working out, and not much else. Unless they talked about one of those two subjects, they wouldn’t be able to have a conversation.

@MarcG – Doesn’t mean that I agree with her positions on some things. But she does have an interesting point of view on some stuff. But so much toxic behaviour in dating. And she does point it out on both sides. Like the man who thought that men should always cheat on their wife at least once as a way to test her… ick! It really does show how toxic the dating pool can be.
