The gusty winds that caused power outs Sunday morning on Thanksgiving weekend knocked out this blog’s original server, which did not reawaken after the outage.
For the moment, the blog will be updated here at this address, where alert readers will notice a few typographical discrepancies as well as the missing posts and comments archive. All those files are on the server’s disk, but can’t be made accessible to me at the moment.
As previously, I have a lot of posts, more than ordinary scripts can handle anyway.
The blog will continue here till further notice.
Also, please note that this is a new install of WordPress, so your first comment here will be held for my approval even if you’ve been commenting for years. Nothing personal.

If you had a house devastated by flooding would you really be soothed by an architect talking about how water could be a friend, not an enemy? We don’t have buildings that remain habitable while flood waters invade, and nobody’s going to pay for them. Not building on flood plains is the way to go.
