Homeless refuges may have to close

There are some news stories that flip‑flop incomprehensibly over time. Here’s one: government grants for homeless services no sooner announced than there’s news that the funding’s going to dry up soon. Do governments think people are going to forget that funding was promised? Has homelessness been solved already?

We have to face it as a society that funding for these shelters and support staff has to be a regular thing, and not be offered and withdrawn with the winds of politics.
