Thousands gather for New Year

Thousands of folks reportedly gathered in Old Montreal to celebrate the New Year on Monday night. I’m not seeing any reports of untoward incidents, and the weather stayed much less dramatic than predictions suggested.

CP estimates 175,000 revellers were out in Old Montreal on the night.
