Pride parade: security was never hired

Monday is seeing the aftermath of the cancellation of the Pride parade, with La Presse saying that the organizers simply forgot to hire security people – and the organization has admitted it. Media are reporting that a parade took place anyway and no untoward incidents were noted.

Mayor Plante said the city wasn’t informed and that she was disappointed and the SPVM tweeted that the cancellation was not their decision.
