Man, 81, gets ten years for mercy killing

An 81-year-old Terrebonne man has been handed a life sentence for killing his wife, afflicted by dementia, but he says he did it from compassion. Quebec is about to experiment with advance requests for euthanasia but they didn’t exist for Thérèse Brassard Lévesque.
