Boroughs vary on library visits

Some notes on the variance in city library usage among the boroughs with some explanations why. Sud-Ouest and CDN-NDG are the biggest library users, but access depends on distance as well as urban obstacles like underpasses and tracks.

I’d add a guess that libraries nearest metro stations get more visits. The Grande bibliothèque – not part of the city network – benefits from being directly connected to Berri-UQÀM, especially in wintertime. But the Plateau library opposite Mont-Royal metro and the relatively new Marc‑Favreau library next to Rosemont metro also benefit from the proximity.
