Watching that video is embarassing – is it meant for first graders? Maybe that’s why I hardly every actually click your links. Anyway, the flowers are obviously blocking the view. I’d be surprised if they took well to being transplanted elsewhere at this stage and time of year.
I grow a small garden where a tree used to be. I don’t tend it, so weeds grow in as well. But people have already stolen and clipped off the roses and at least 2 plants have been dug up and disappeared. For the most part, it’s perennials, so that it doesn’t need to be fully replanted. And we have to mark it off from the city plows each year.
But I could never grow sunflowers. The squirrels take the heads off long before they fully bloom.

That’s actually what I was going to ask, but got distracted. You can sometimes move plants, but it’s often not possible past a point.

I’ve never seen a squirrel so happy as the one that was nibbling its way through a mature sunflower stolen from my next door neighbour last summer.
