  The city is facing a hot week, with classes back in schools that have no air conditioning. There’s a heat warning for Tuesday and Wednesday and some schools in other parts of Quebec are planning to close. This is only the second heat wave of the year and it’s coming late.

  A man was taken to hospital Monday morning after being stabbed in the Quartier des Spectacles. He’s in critical condition but no more information has been given out.

  Links now say the victim has died.

    walkerp, I nearly made a joke about the Quartier des Spectacles being the pocket he kept his glasses in.

    We can’t be serious all the time.

  The previous item was about a deliberate act with a car – this one, about a young man in critical condition after crashing into three parked cars, presumably unintentionally, om Sherbrooke East in Rosemont near midnight last night.

  A man drove his vehicle into a park in Montreal North on Sunday evening, where a fight was going on among a group of people, injuring six of them.
